Afternoon Tea & Early Evening Jazz

We are inviting you to join us on

 

Sunday 30th June at 2pm

Ystradowen Village Hall, Near Cowbridge, Vale of Glamorgan

 

..when we will be holding an Afternoon Tea with lots of fundraising games such as Name That Tune/Table Quiz/Penalty Shootout/Flog It Game!...plus much much more! Please bring a big bag of £1 and 50 pence coins to join in and make this fundraiser successful!

 

The Home and Garden Emporium will be open with various craft items for sale made by our many talented helpers and there will be a Gardening table with various seasonal plants for sale, courtesy of Abercynon Gardening Club.

 

Early evening entertainment will follow with the cool jazz sounds of Clare Hingott and the Graham Watkins Trio between 6 & 7 pm.  Please feel free to bring your own bottle of wine for the table if you wish.

 

We promise you a wonderful fun-filled afternoon and evening in the company of the family and friends of Rudy Cole, all in aid of a much needed facility for the many children in Wales who have a wide range of disabilities.

 

Tickets will be available next week at a cost of £10.00 per person

Approximately 100 tickets available - admission by ticket only.

Clare Hingott & the Graham Watkins Quartet

Well known throughout South Wales and beyond, the Graham Watkins Quartet consists of four accomplished musicians whose striking musicality is evident to all. They are particularly renowned for their polished performances of The Great American Songbook, jazz standards and evergreens. Inventive arrangements, multi-layered vocals and fluent improvisations characterise their work.  Jack Williams on bass guitar and George Wilson on drums provide the solid rhythmic bed which so ably supports the intricate piano work of Graham himself and the striking vocal expertise of the talented Clare Hingott.

 

 

About the Event

The cold winter days are almost behind us and summer will soon be on its way.  So too is our fundraising event in support of the Splish Splash Splosh campaign!

The event will begin at 2pm with a sumptuous afternoon tea…the best in Wales!  Following that we will have an afternoon of fun & games!  Get ready for ‘The Big Quiz’, ‘Name that Tune’, a penalty shootout (weather allowing), prize bingo, an amazing raffle and much more…plus, the highlight of the afternoon, a special ‘Flog It’ game!

During the course of the afternoon, visit the home & garden emporium with beautiful hand crafted items for the home and summer planters for sale.

At 6 pm, relax to the sounds of jazz and swing with Clare Hingott & the Graham Watkins Trio. Please feel free to bring your own bottles of wine for the table if you wish.
